Rakeback Poker Rooms
The rakeback of poker rooms is more focal in some kinds of games. Let me give this hypothetical (but very realistic) scenario: rake is 5% and capped at just 3 dollars. Therefore, a pot of one thousand dollars is not going to be affected - the maximum rake figure would still be 3 dollars. Sparing you all the mathematics, if the pot is more than $60, rake would go down. What results is that in low-limit games, the rake bears heavily.
If it is a big-stakes table, for a 2,000-dollar pot, the rake would not even equalize one percent of the whole. The rakeback thus cannot be disregarded or totally scoffed at; if the rakeback deal is 50%, the player would enjoy mitigating the scary advantage of the house. The player would not shell out five percent, but just about 2.5. If you are a veteran poker player, then you would agree with me that this is a substantial difference.Posted: October 2nd, 2008 under Poker Rakeback.
